To alleviate the prolonged bedridden period that serves no purpose for individuals nearing the end of their lives, as well as to promote proactive preparation for the aging process, National Taiwan University (NTU) has initiated the Graceful Aging through Advance Directive Planning (GAADP) Project. This project specifically targets the Wanhua District in Taipei City, known for its substantial elderly population. Working in collaboration with local medical institutions and senior service centers, the project aims to raise awareness and understanding of crucial concepts like palliative care, advance care planning, and patient autonomy through various means, including workshops, community empowerment, and volunteer training.
