【2021】Bottom financial quintile student success

SDGs

NTU sets graduation/completion targets for students in the country.

NTU has established the “Hope Project” for students from disadvantaged families, including low-income households or low-middle-income households, children or grandchildren of families with special circumstances, children of immigrants, and students attending high schools in remote areas.

NTU’s Hope Project and Financial Aids for Disadvantaged Students provide academic advising service to students who are culturally or economically disadvantaged, including those from the bottom 40% income households. Students who attend academic advising and acquire GPA 1.70 or above are eligible for scholarships.

In addition, here are also many student aid measures that focus on encouraging graduation/completion for students. For economically disadvantaged students, various student aid measures are provided, such as tuition and miscellaneous fee reductions, student loans, disadvantaged grants, student life and study grants, and various public and private scholarship programs to reduce the financial burden of economically disadvantaged students, making sure that they can study at ease without having to worry about their finances.
