Harvard/NTU/Legislative Yuan Exchange Forum: Challenges Posed by the 20th National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party to Regional Stability and Economic Relations
The 20th National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party, held in October 2022, has had a significant impact on regional stability and is expected to pose new challenges to cross-strait politics, military affairs, and economics. In collaboration with Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government, our university partnered with legislators from the Chinese Nationalist Party (KMT) and Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) to organize a public hearing at the Legislative Yuan titled "The Impact of the 20th National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party on Regional Stability and Economic Relations" on October 18, 2022. During the event, scholars from the United States and Taiwan offered their observations and insights, while legislators from the KMT and DPP expressed their respective viewpoints, facilitating a rational exchange of ideas about peace in the Taiwan Strait.
