NTU is committed to promoting sustainable commuting
National Taiwan University is committed to promoting sustainable commuting. We offer free campus shuttle services and subsidize the use of shared transportation options. We continuously enhance our shared bicycle dispatching system and organize free bicycle health check-up events, along with related green transportation awareness campaigns, to increase the utilization of public transportation and electric vehicles. In an effort to reduce carbon emissions from transportation, we are progressively replacing official vehicles with green energy motorcycles. Additionally, we have established electric motorcycle charging stations and offer a variety of shared transportation options. We also encourage faculty, staff, and students to utilize public transportation and shared commuting facilities by allowing electric-assisted bicycles on campus.
Bicycle Week – Bicycle Inspection
NTU’s Department of Engineering and Office of Student Affairs co-organize a “bicycle checkup” activity every year. Guided by the professors and mechanics, the students examine, repair, and maintain bicycles for riders on campus. This event helps raise the awareness of traffic safety on campus, and offers a great opportunity for the participating students to get hands-on experience.
