NTU provides affordable accommodation options for employees
To provide affordable housing options for its faculty and staff, National Taiwan University has established the Faculty & Staff Housing Division. Based on the Directives for the Allocation and Administration of Faculty Housing , the unit assesses the financial needs of employees and offers a variety of housing options, including accommodations for new faculty members, single-person and family-style dormitories for general staff (more than 200 dormitories), as well as dedicated housing for new faculty (199 rooms) and visiting scholars(31 rooms). Additionally, the university prioritizes applications from individuals with disabilities and waives dormitory management fees and deposits for certain administrators and supervisors.
To further improve housing services, NTU has actively renovated off-campus properties and completed construction of a new dormitory building in 2023, adding 17 new units for new faculty members. Additionally, the university provides rental and homeownership information, as well as financial support, including housing subsidies and loans, to eligible employees.
