NTU provides affordable accommodation options for employees🛏️
To provide affordable housing options for its faculty and staff, National Taiwan University has established the Faculty & Staff Housing Division. Based on the Directives for the Allocation and Administration of Faculty Housing , the unit assesses employees' financial capacity according to the dormitory management guidelines and provides various housing options, including accommodation for newly appointed faculty and employee housing (approximately 200+ single and family-style dormitories).
- Offers 197 units of housing specifically for new faculty and 31 family-style suites for visiting scholars/lecturers.
- Priority application is given to individuals with disabilities.
- Faculty and staff whose applications are successful receive financial support from the university, allowing them to lease the dormitories at a price lower than the market rate.
To further improve housing services, NTU has actively renovated off-campus properties and completed construction of a new dormitory building in 2025, adding 17 new units for new faculty members. Additionally, the university provides rental and homeownership information, as well as financial support, including housing subsidies and loans, to eligible employees.
Directives for the Assignment and Management of Multi-Room Dormitories for Faculty and Staff
【Article 3】 The aforementioned points shall be calculated as follows： Seven additional points shall be given for applicants who themselves or their spouse, parents, or minor children are classified as having a severe disability; five additional points shall be given for those with a moderate disability; and three additional points for those with a mild disability.
