NTU'S non-discriminatory admissions policy

SDGs

NTU'S non-discriminatory admissions policy

National Taiwan University has established an non-discrimination admissions policy. In the Admissions Brochure (2023), independent admissions processes are conducted for students belonging to various groups, including low to middle-income households, those from special circumstances, children of new immigrants, high school students from remote areas, and students with exceptional qualities of altruism, service, and compassion. This approach aims to bridge the gap among students from different backgrounds.

Furthermore, in Article 3 of the NATIONAL TAIWAN UNIVERSITY Academic Regulations (2022), the university explicitly emphasizes that as long as a student has graduated from a high school or possesses an equivalent level of education, they are eligible for admission to the university, ensuring a diverse and equal admissions principle. Additionally, the university has also established Gender Equality in Education Implementation Regulations (2017), wherein Article 3 specifies that admissions and educational permits at the university must not exhibit any discriminatory treatment based on gender, sexual orientation, gender characteristics, or gender identity.
