Access to university track underrepresented groups applications

National Taiwan University has established various admission channels and quotas in its admission handbook to address the needs of diverse student populations. These channels prioritize students from low-income households, those with special circumstances, children of new immigrants, high school students from remote areas, as well as students with exceptional qualities such as altruism, service-mindedness, and a caring personality. Furthermore, we have implemented a financial assistance program for disadvantaged students to cover application fees, transportation, and accommodation expenses, ensuring equitable access to higher education for economically and culturally disadvantaged students.

In accordance with our Gender Equality Education Implementation Regulations, the university is committed to providing equal opportunities for students regardless of gender, sexual orientation, gender characteristics, or gender identity. This ensures a gradual increase in the proportion of female students at our institution.

Moreover, National Taiwan University offers diverse pathways to education, including opportunities for military personnel, as well as policies to support international students, individuals with disabilities, athletes, rural residents, indigenous students, and those with special talents.
