National Taiwan University (NTU) offers a wide range of free educational programs on freshwater ecosystems for local and national communities, covering water irrigation practices, water management, and water conservation. 2025 NTU Experimental Farm Activities (FREE)

As a rare urban farm land and an environmental education center, the University's Experimental Farm organizes multiple free education activities on farming and irrigation annually, allowing the public to connect with nature and farmland life. The curriculum is tailored for various participants, including adults, children, and professionals, covering everything from agricultural cultivation to the operation of irrigation facilities.
In 2025, the farm launched the 'Fun at the Farm' initiative. Highlighting the unique features of the University's various farm plots, the program offers free, hands-on farmland irrigation experiences for parents and children, accompanied by guided tours to explore the distinct biodiversity in agricultural water zones.

2025 Water Resources Talent Training Program (FREE - PUBLICLY ACCESSIBLE)

Professor Fang-Chung Lee of the University's Hydrotech Research Institute has long assisted the Water Resources Agency, Ministry of Economic Affairs, in planning in-service training courses for hydraulic engineering staff. These programs enhance the professional hydraulic knowledge and global perspective of government personnel, advancing Taiwan's overall progress in water resource management. Furthermore, the course content was compiled into a final achievement report published in February 2025, making these valuable resources accessible to the general public for future reference.

2025 OPEN HOUSE TAIPEI (FREE)
By opening up campus spaces to the public, NTU organized 8 guided tours in 2025. These tours led participants to explore historical waterways around the campus, covering topics from irrigation facilities and aquatic flora/fauna conservation to community water ecosystem creation.

NTU and the Ministry of the Interior co-hosted the "2025 International Symposium on Water and Sustainability" in June 2025. International water resource experts and industry leaders were invited to share their experiences. 2025 Hydraulic Experiment Business Exchange Meeting (FREE)
NTU's Hydrotech Research Institute and the Water Resources Agency (MOEA) held the "Hydraulic Experiment Business Exchange Meeting" in December 2025. The meeting focused on river vegetation management, hydraulic model experiments (including facilities at Zhuoshui River and Zengwen Reservoir), and water environment data. Professor Ming-Che Hu and Professor Li-Chi Chiang of the Department of Bioenvironmental Systems Engineering were invited as speakers at the "2025 Presentation of International Irrigation and Drainage Technology Achievements." Presenting on "Irrigation Water Resources Sustainability and Food Security Under Climate Change," they focused on agricultural irrigation adaptation strategies, agricultural water resource management, and improving agricultural water efficiency, helping practitioners understand solutions to current environmental challenges.
